Kapak Road collects lot-level information intended to support customers with their own EUDR due-diligence obligations. The operator or trader remains responsible for determining its obligations and completing any required due-diligence statement.

We support suppliers and buyers through the EUDR process and collect the documentation it requires — so each lot reaches the EU operator with a structured, reviewable information package.

For suppliers & cooperatives

  • Guidance through what the EUDR requires for your product and plots.
  • Collection of plot geolocation (points under 4 ha, polygons above).
  • Land-use evidence from before 31 December 2020 and legality documents.
  • Documents organised and linked per lot.

For buyers & EU operators

  • A structured EUDR information package per lot.
  • Visible gaps and follow-up with origin until they are resolved.
  • Input for your risk assessment and Due Diligence Statement.

An independent UK-based verification partner supports parts of the documentation. The EU operator or trader keeps the legal obligation, makes the final risk determination and submits the Due Diligence Statement.

The information available for each lot varies and may include production location, plot geolocation, production period, supplier information and supporting documents. Kapak Road does not present a lot as "EUDR ready" or "EUDR compliant". Instead, each lot page describes what has been received and reviewed using the following evidence stages:

  • Information requested
  • Plot geolocation received
  • Production-date information received
  • Legality information received
  • Supporting evidence under review
  • Buyer / operator review required
  • Reconfirmation required

Application timetable

  • Large and medium operators: 30 December 2026.
  • Micro and small operators: 30 June 2027.
  • Different timing may apply to certain timber operators.

Kapak Road's status labels are not a legal compliance determination. Whether a lot supports a given due-diligence statement depends on the operator's own assessment, its role in the transaction and applicable law. This page is intended to describe information provision, not to give legal advice.

Information must be assessed, not merely collected.

Before commitment, the applicable operator or trader should determine the relevant product, source plots, production dates, legality basis, supply-chain path and risk context, then decide whether mitigation is required.

Kapak Road’s role

Kapak compiles the EUDR information package: geolocation and supporting documents are collected together with the producers, with part of the document set prepared by an independent UK-based verification partner. Kapak structures the lot record, records evidence states, flags gaps and requests updates. What stays with the operator is the legal act: its own risk determination and the submission of its due-diligence statement.
