EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Statement
Our public position on Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 covering coffee and cacao placed on or exported from the EU market.
Kapak Road treats EUDR compliance as a baseline expectation for every coffee and cacao lot presented on this website. We work only with origin partners who can demonstrate, for each lot they supply:
- Geolocation of the plot(s) where the commodity was produced (per Art. 9).
- Evidence that production occurred on land not subject to deforestation after 31 December 2020.
- Compliance with the relevant legislation of the country of production.
- Traceability documents supporting a Due Diligence Statement (DDS) upon request.
EUDR status is confirmed per lot and shared with the buyer at quotation stage. Where a lot is not yet EUDR-ready, this is stated explicitly in the offer and no misleading claim is made.
We retain due-diligence records for at least 5 years in line with Art. 12(3) of the Regulation. We are also monitoring the entry into application of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D) and will update this statement as the framework matures.
This statement reflects our current sourcing practice. It is not a substitute for the operator's or trader's own DDS obligation under Art. 4/5 of the Regulation.
