What does Kapak Road do?+
Kapak Road is a B2B sourcing platform. We connect international buyers with verified producers and origin partners in coffee and cacao — providing producer-level information, quality data, traceability, and a clear quotation process.
Do you sell coffee, cacao, or both?+
Both. Coffee and cacao are our two active product categories, sourced through verified origin partners.
Do you offer spot products?+
Yes. Our spot offer list shows lots currently available at origin, partner warehouses, or EU warehouses. Availability is subject to confirmation.
Do you offer forward contracts?+
Yes. Forward allocations are shown on the forward offer list and confirmed against partner harvest windows and buyer volume.
Can I request samples?+
Yes. Use the Request Samples form and select one or several lots. Sample availability is confirmed per lot.
Do you publish prices online?+
No. Supplier prices are never published. Final quotations are confirmed per buyer, volume, Incoterms, and documentation status.
What is the minimum order quantity?+
Minimum order varies per lot and is shown on each lot detail page. Sample volumes are typically 250 g – 1 kg for coffee and 500 g – 2 kg for cacao.
Do you ship directly from origin?+
Where a lot is offered from origin, shipment departs from the partner country. Lots stored in EU warehouses ship from Europe. Shipment origin is shown per lot.
Which Incoterms do you work with?+
Commonly FOB, CIF, EXW, and DAP. The available Incoterms depend on the lot, warehouse location, and buyer country.
Are the products EUDR-ready?+
EUDR status is confirmed per lot. Some lots are ready; others are in progress. We do not claim all products are EUDR-ready by default.
Do you provide certifications?+
Certifications available per lot are listed on each lot detail page. Certificates are shared on request and confirmed before final quotation.
Can you source products on demand?+
Yes. Submit a Sourcing Brief with your product, origin, quality, volume, and timing requirements and we will confirm what can be presented.
Which origins do you work with?+
Version 1 works actively with Peru (cacao via Ayni) and Indonesia (coffee via Rayana / Wanoja). Additional origins are developing — see the Origins page for the full list.
How do you verify producers?+
Every supply partner goes through a verification and onboarding process before appearing on our offer list. We only present partners we have reviewed.
What is the difference between spot and forward offers?+
Spot offers are for lots currently available. Forward offers are for future harvest allocations, reserved against partner allocation and confirmed per buyer.
Can I subscribe to offer updates?+
Yes. Create a Sourcing Alert with your product, origin, and quality parameters and we will notify you when a matching lot is listed.
Do you work with roasters, importers, manufacturers, or traders?+
Yes. Roasters, importers, distributors, food manufacturers, specialty buyers, and traders can all request quotes and samples.
How does Kapak Road support sourcing decisions beyond sending an offer list?+
We help buyers compare lots across origins, coordinate samples, request documentation, and align on Incoterms and shipment windows.
Do you provide market context for coffee and cacao?+
Yes — see Market Intelligence. We publish sourcing context on spot availability, forward allocations, origin timing, and documentation status.
How do you handle EUDR-related documentation?+
EUDR-related information is coordinated with the origin partner and confirmed per lot. Documents available on request.
What traceability level is available?+
Traceability is typically available at the producer, cooperative, or community level, depending on the lot. Full detail is confirmed on request.
What packaging formats are available?+
Coffee is commonly presented in 60 kg GrainPro-lined jute. Cacao formats include jute with liner, vacuum-sealed cartons, and tempered / packed paste. See lot pages for detail.
Do you offer retail packaging?+
No. Kapak Road is a B2B sourcing platform. We do not sell retail packaging on this website.
Can Kapak Road help compare lots across origins?+
Yes. Submit a sourcing brief with your target profile and we will present comparable lots across active and developing origins.
Are shipment terms confirmed before quotation?+
Yes. Warehouse location, shipment route, Incoterms, and estimated shipment window are confirmed before a final quotation is issued.
Can Kapak Road help with sourcing strategy?+
Yes. Beyond individual lots, we support buyers on origin mix, forward planning, documentation readiness, and market context.
How does Kapak Road earn revenue?+
We operate as a sourcing partner between producers and buyers on commercial terms agreed privately with each supply partner. Commercial terms are not published.
Are supplier prices shown publicly?+
No. Supplier prices are never published on this website.
Do buyers pay for samples?+
Sample and shipping costs are confirmed per request. Some lots include free samples; others require a nominal contribution.
Can Kapak Road source products not listed on the website?+
Yes, subject to partner verification. Submit a Sourcing Brief and we will confirm what can be presented.
Does Kapak Road own the listed stock?+
Not by default. Lots are offered through verified partners. Kapak Road does not claim stock ownership or exclusivity unless stated.
Do suppliers pay to be listed?+
No listing fees in Version 1. Supply partners are onboarded through our verification process, not by paying to appear.
